The NAVY SEAL Experience:

Imagine being an elite Navy SEAL. Could you possibly conceive the
primal rush a SEAL must feel on a water-borne mission? Concealed under the cover of
darkness, making way through turbid waters, silently slipping behind enemy lines to
complete the mission. Are there even words to describe the feeling?
Most the worlds population will never know the mind of these
select few combatants. The agonizing training, the years of preparation... the thrill
of the mission!
You may never know what it is like to be a Navy
Seal unless you actually go through the rigors of all the training... and you do not quit!
However, you can come close... former Navy SEAL Dave
Ferruolo, NAUI Course Director and TDI Nitrox and
Rebreather Instructor trainer and President of Fathom Divers, Inc. has developed the
‘The Seal Experience’ - a two day course to allow you to come as close to the real thing as possible, in a
non-military, safe and supervised way. The course has four phases:
| Water
Proficiencies: Basic Watermanship Skills! Learn what a SEAL
trainee goes through during water training at BUD/s. Drown-proofing, swimming, treading
water, swimming skills, Snorkeling Skills, Diving Drills and the dreaded 'POOL COMP'.
Combat Shooting:
Learn how to shoot like a pro.
In a safe and controlled environment, without anyone shooting back,
learn the art of quick-shooting and double tapping. Become familiar with
weapons like the: Beretta 92F, AR-15, MP-5, UZI, Glock and more.
Mission Tasking and Work-up: In this phase you will be tasked
with a mission, plan the mission and do mock drills to prepare.
Mission
Execution:
The last phase is the actual mission, with a real objective... and yes, you will have to
negotiate your way around a small group of ‘Bad Guys’ to accomplish your task.
And you DON’T want to get caught!!! |

Statement:
It is the mission of the SEAL EXPERIENCE
courses to push every student to their limit. Men, Women and children over the age
of 12 may join... It is our goal to provide the most realistic as possible training
environment. If pushing yourself to your ultimate limits both mentally and physically is your goal,
The Navy SEAL Experience and the Tactical swimmer and Rebreather Courses may be for
you...
Course Prerequisites:
For the Navy SEAL Experience: You must be in
good health and able to maintain physical activity for prolonged periods of
time. You must have a good heart and lungs and not ill at the time of
the course. A medical waiver and doctor approval for strenuous
exercise is needed.
For all Diving Courses: You must be a certified scuba diver from any agency, or have equivalent experience. You must
own at least the following items: a good diving compass, mask, snorkel, fins, booties,
gloves, hood. It is recommended you own: a wetsuit and a full set of SCUBA gear. A limited
supply of rentals are available. A medical waiver and
doctor approval for strenuous exercise is also needed.
Certification:
Navy SEAL Experience Course:
Graduates will receive a
Navy SEAL Experience certificate, and a ‘I
Survived The Navy SEAL Experience’ t-shirt.
For Diving Courses:
Upon completion, diving students will be awarded NAUI advanced and night diving
specialty certifications, Navy SEAL Experience certificate, and a cool
‘The Only Easy Dive Was Yesterday’ t-shirt.
TACTICAL SWIMMER/DIVER
COURSES
Tactical Diver
Course
4 day course: $1,295.00. Minimum 2 people required. Private courses
available for parties of two or more.

Phase 1: Basic Watermanship Skills! Learn what a SEAL
trainee goes through during water training at BUD/s. Drown-proofing, swimming, treading
water, swimming skills, Snorkeling Skills, Diving Drills and the dreaded 'POOL COMP'.
Phase 2: This phase will train you in advanced underwater navigation, night
diving, night u/w navigation, insertion/extraction and basic SEAL stealth tactics and
escape & evasion tactics.
Phase 3: Mission Tasking and Work-up: In this phase you will be tasked
with a mission, plan the mission and do mock drills to prepare.
Phase 4: The Mission:
The last phase is the actual mission, with a real objective... and yes, you will have to
negotiate your way around a small group of ‘Bad Guys’ to accomplish your task.
And you DON’T want to get caught!!!
The TACTICAL REBREATHER DIVER!

day course: $1,495.00.00. Minimum 2 people required. Private courses
available for parties of two or more.

All the same cool action and fun as above with certification in the use of
the Drager Ray and/or Drager Dolphin Nitrox Rebreathers. This is the non-military version of the
SEALs undetectable Dragger Lar V closed circuit combat diving rig! It doesn't get
any closer to the real thing than this! Students will be taught the use of EANx
(NITROX) as it applies to open circuit scuba and rebreathers. Upon successful completion
of this course, you will be certified as a NAUI advanced, night, compass Diver, TDI NITROX
and REBREATHER diver and of course, Navy SEAL Experience certificate, and a cool ‘The Only Easy Dive Was Yesterday’ t-shirt.
Interested persons must own all
their personal scuba diving gear including their rebreather.
Rebreathers are available for purchase through Fathom Divers, Inc, prior to
course start date.
